"Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you. He will never let the righteous fall." Psalm 55:22.
For over two years, Elise, and her husband Andrew, have been desperately fighting to expand their family.
For those who don't know (which probably isn't any of you), Elise is my dear best friend. She is so special to me...one of those friends where you can be completely YOU. I mean, who else will accept me as much even when I say weird, crude, or inappropriate things.... or who else will fall asleep on your couch with you when you've fallen asleep on them while hanging out. The list goes on but I'll spare myself the embarrassment. Friends since middle school... best friends since high school.... and sometimes not so best of friends. We've watched each other grow through the years. Experienced many life changes together... struggled at times, but always seem to come back to a stronger relationship than before.
Although, I have to admit... I can't imagine this new step in her and Andrew's life. I've known my Elise to be an amazing friend, sister, daughter, worker, wife... but a mom is a new first! I do know though....they are going to be great.
Whether Elise knows it or not (and probably doesn't), she is great with kids...has a real knack for them. And I'm sure you can guess, Andrew is pretty good with them too. Their cousins call Andrew "Ketchup" so I'm pretty sure you can already guess how much fun they have with him.
Elise announced her pregnancy to the world a few weeks ago, exploding with so much excitement that she spilled the beans a few days earlier than she intended. As of today, she is approximately 12 weeks, 6 days, 7 hours (ok just kidding, too detailed). The baby is the size of a Large Plum (not sure I know what a regular size plum looks like...).
27 more weeks, 1 days, 17 hours and 30 minutes...ish... we will meet this new bundle of joy that we've prayed for so much.
Enjoy a few of the photos of her baby announcement (featuring their pups, Dakota and Molly).
